Free, source-cited child support calculators for parents who want to understand the numbers before they talk to a lawyer, a mediator, or the other parent.

Why this site exists

Every state publishes a child support guideline, but many are buried in statutes, PDF schedules, and multi-page worksheets. Many online calculators don't say which version of the rules they use, or whether anyone has checked them. FamilyLawFinder aims to be the clear, honest version: show the estimate, show the math, and show exactly where each number comes from.

Who's behind it

FamilyLawFinder is built and maintained by Andrew Duluth, who writes the calculators, checks them against each state's primary sources, and reads every message sent through the contact form.

How we keep it accurate

Each calculator is tested against its cited primary source. Every state page shows the guideline's effective date, the date we last verified it, and any rules we don't model yet. We regularly check each source for amendments and updated figures. The full list is on our Sources & Methodology page.
