How Wyoming Calculates Child Support

Wyoming uses the Income Shares model to determine child support obligations. This page explains the guidelines, formula, and key factors.

Wyoming's guideline (Wyo. Stat. § 20-2-304) sets a presumptive support amount from the parents' combined net monthly income, computed one of three ways depending on custody: basic (no overnight credit), shared (credit once a parent has more than 25% of overnights), or split, where each parent has primary custody of at least one child.
